The Client
Sterlite Technologies Limited, a leading global provider of transmission solutions for the telecom and power industries appointed AEON as strategic advisor to plan and manage their permanent Mumbai accommodation.
Sterlite required a fast track fit-out of a floor in a commercial office building. A particular challenge was that there was no flexibility in the completion date due to lease expiry on the existing serviced office. Further constraints were applied due to the building being occupied above and below by leading corporates. The commission comprised of:
- Analysis of Sterlite space against accommodation portfolio, alignment of need with business growth and rationalisation for up to 100 employees
- Implementing the programme corporate governance and compliance process to provide structure, auditability and decision making assurance
- flexible environment that encouraged collaboration and knowledge sharing
Our Strategy
AEON was appointed as project managers, representing the client for the management, co-ordination and control of all aspects of the project from inception to completion. This included all the project phases from concept design, design development, documentation, tendering, contract administration, construction, and through to staff relocation.
- Management of the various stakeholder interfaces – business units, facilities management, security and IT;
- Management of design team
- Implemented and managed a corporate governance model for the project that provides clear decision making, auditable activities and processes, change control procedures, risk management and effective reporting
- Our proactive cost and risk focused approach to managing design development and procurement controlled change effectively and provided accurate forecast of out turn costs.
- Overseeing Completion of the Works including testing and commissioning to Sterlite’s high standards.
Project Results
The strong integration of the AEON project management staff in the client team facilitated fast decision making. An intensive analysis of the project’s stakeholders had an important impact on the stable process of project.
AEON’s profound benchmark database and strong engineering experience added great value during the intensive value engineering phase following the basic design phase in order to meet budget goals while constantaniously optimising the facilities efficiency.
